An Onion Story Blog for English Comp. 201
The lady in this story was sent to Hell because she had no good deeds. Her guardian angel had tried to save her by using the onion that was given away to pull her out, but as she was beginning to be pulled out, others saw and pulled on her. She was selfish and exclaimed that it was her onion and only was she to be pulled out. I think of this as how alot of times we see things as we want them and we don't care about anyone else. We may do this in group projects for example...someone plays leader and tells others what to do without maybe realizing that someone else may have a different idea as to how to go about the project. If the woman would have just let things be, maybe she could have been pulled out of the hole.

That's an inventive connection--between wanting material things and wanting control; between selfishness with stuff and selfishness with power.
